He has more than 20 years of experience helping professionals improve quality and productivity via the implementation of organization improvement methodologies (i.e. TQM, Team-Based Problem Solving, SPC, Process Reengineering).

Lynda Carter

Lynda Carter is founder and president of Competitive Edge Consulting, Inc. and an adjunct faculty member of Baldwin Wallace University providing project management expertise and custom training development and delivery solutions. Lynda has extensive experience designing and delivering project management training programs as well as consulting with senior project management leaders on all aspects of the projects from methodology design and implementation to advanced applications of project management, and project management maturity assessments.

Amanda Dietz

Amanda Dietz is Vice President – Project Management and Business Analysis for Orion Development Group. She has more than 25 years of experience in operations management, auditing and process improvement. As a trainer and consultant, Ms. Dietz is able leverage her diverse expertise and strategic outlook to help clients implement and fully realize the benefits of process and technology change.

Prior to joining Orion, Ms. Dietz attained extensive quality and process management experience in the corporate world, principally in the Financial Services sector. She served on the senior management teams for two companies (InTuition and Wells Fargo). As an instructor, Ms. Dietz teaches at universities throughout the United States and for Orion partners overseas. She consistently receives outstanding reviews from seminar participants

Pete Evangelista

Pete Evangelista is an adjunct Professor and the founder of Petra Business Solutions, Inc. He has twenty-six years of information technology and process improvement experience. Pete has been leading complex and high impact IT projects across a breadth of industries and processes for the last twenty years. His experience includes leading local consulting businesses and being a Managing Director at one of the Big 5 consulting firms.

Joe Nickrent

Joseph Nickrent is Project Manager/IT Analyst for Object Computing, Inc. and a business analysis instructor for Orion Development Group with 30 years of experience in information systems development and support. Mr. Nickrent has a proven track record in all phases of the system development lifecycle as well as requirements definition and management, scope definition and control, project plan creation, and tracking actual against plan. He has managed and led mainframe and non-mainframe based development efforts of time critical nature and has supported a mission critical financial system which controlled over $3 billion in assets.

Jeffrey Pinto PH.D.

Dr. Jeffrey K. Pinto is a two-time recipient of the Distinguished Contribution Award from the Project Management Institute (1997, 2001) for outstanding service to the project management profession. He received PMI’s Research Achievement Award in 2009 for outstanding contributions to project management research. In 2017, he was honored with the International Project Management Association’s Research Achievement Award for his research career in project management.

Dr. Pinto is the Andrew Morrow and Elizabeth Lee Black Chair in the Management of Technology in the Sam and Irene Black School of Business at PennState, the BehrendCollege. He is the lead faculty member for Penn State’s Master of Project Management program. The author or editor of 23 books and over 120 scientific papers that have appeared in a variety of academic and practitioner journals, books, conference proceedings, and technical reports, Dr. Pinto’s work has been translated into nine languages. He is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences and has served as keynote speaker and as a member of organizing committees for a number of international events, including three Project Management Institute research conferences. With over 25 years’ experience in the field of project management, Dr. Pinto is a two-time recipient of the Distinguished Contribution Award from the Project Management Institute (1997, 2001) for outstanding service to the project management profession.He received PMI’s Research Achievement Award in 2009 for outstanding contributions to project management research.

Dr. Pinto has consulted widely in the US and Europe on a variety of topics, including project management, new product development, information system implementation, organization development, leadership, and conflict resolution. Sue Russell is a dynamic professional with over 20 years of experience. Sue has provided consulting services and learning strategies for health care, manufacturing, educational and business service organizations. She has consulted on long-term change initiatives and coached global project teams for Ernst & Young International, American Express and GE Aviation. Sue is currently a Crotonville Certified Instructor for numerous GE Professional Development Programs.

Ralph Smith

RALPH SMITH is Executive Vice President of Strategic Services for Orion Development Group. In this capacity, he is responsible for facilitating the implementation of strategic plans and strategic measurement systems for clients in all sectors. Mr. Smith has personally supervised the performance improvement efforts in more than 100 organizations worldwide. He is the author of the highly rated text Business Process Management and the Balanced Scorecard. He has also been a major supporter of strategic planning and balanced scorecard initiatives.

Steve Wall

Steve Wall is the Public Sector Performance Improvement Practice Leader for Orion Development Group. He has more than 25 years of experience leading major improvement efforts for public sector agencies from the inside. As a consultant, Mr. Wall has worked with dozens of states, counties, cities and private sector organizations in the United States and Mexico to develop strategic plans, implement change, improve customer focus, eliminate waste and save money.

Mr. Wall is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He has served as a keynote speaker for numerous state and national conferences, and instructed workshops and seminars for more than a dozen colleges and universities
