The Science of Task Estimating

Every project, no matter the size or type, requires some sort of estimating – from building a new facility to a 2-week Agile Sprint.  You don’t have to rely purely on SWAGs!  This half-day seminar will be a series of fun, hands-on exercises focused on reducing variability in estimating.

  • Understand the thought processes of estimating
  • Understand sources of variability and biases
  • Practice structuring work to decrease variability
  • Practice obtaining / extracting information that affects estimates
